4 Days 3 Nights Rinjani Trekking via Sembalun (Summit & Lake) is one of the most popular trekking packages to explore Mount Rinjani (3,726m) in Lombok, Indonesia. This program takes you through the scenic Sembalun route, reaching the summit and continuing down to the beautiful Segara Anak Lake.

The Sembalun route is located in East Lombok and is well known for its wide savanna landscapes and breathtaking panoramic views.

We will pick you up from Lombok International Airport, Senggigi, or Lembar Harbor, then transfer you to Sembalun Lawang while enjoying the natural beauty along the journey.

Day 01: Arrival – Transfer to Sembalun

• Pick up from Senggigi at 08:00 AM
• Drive along the northwest coast via:
  • Pusuk Monkey Forest
  • Bayan Village (home to the oldest mosque in Lombok)
• Lunch on the way
• Arrival at Sembalun
• Dinner and overnight at hotel (Pondok Sembalun)

Pusuk Forest – A Hidden Natural Paradise in Lombok

Pusuk Forest is a popular nature stop located between Mataram and Senaru. Known for its cool mountain air and stunning views, it offers a peaceful escape before the trek begins.

Visitors can:

• See wild monkeys along the roadside
• Enjoy panoramic valley views
• Take photos at scenic viewpoints

The road is well maintained, but travelers should be cautious due to winding paths and occasional fog.

Day 02: Sembalun – Crater Rim (Pelawangan II)

• Breakfast at hotel
• Start trekking from Sembalun (07:30 AM)
• Trek through open savanna with amazing views of Mount Rinjani
• Duration: ± 7–8 hours trekking
• Arrival at Cemara Sewu / Pelawangan II (2,900m)
• Dinner and overnight camping at crater rim

Day 03: Summit – Segara Anak Lake

• 02:00 AM: Start summit attack
• Reach the summit after ± 3–4 hours
• Enjoy sunrise with views of:
  • Bali
  • Lombok
  • Sumbawa

After summit:

• Return to crater rim for breakfast
• Descend to Segara Anak Lake (± 3 hours)
• Lunch and overnight camping by the lake

Segara Anak Lake – The Heart of Mount Rinjani

Segara Anak is a stunning crater lake located inside the caldera of Mount Rinjani at around 2,000 meters above sea level.

Highlights:

• Blue-green water resembling the ocean
• Area: ± 11 km²
• Depth: up to 230 meters
• Presence of Mount Barujari, an active volcano inside the lake

This lake is not only beautiful but also holds spiritual significance for the local Sasak people and Balinese Hindus, who often perform rituals here.

Day 04: Lake – Senaru Village – Transfer

• Breakfast at campsite
• Trek down through tropical forest
• Pass Post III
• Arrive in Senaru Village in the afternoon
• Transfer back to Senggigi or Mataram
